HAZARDOUS CHEMICALS - HCL

We are honored to transport this material between two major companies in Southeast Asia. GML is confident in having sufficient experience and specialized vehicles to transport any type of chemical. In supporting Sun Paper’s production, we are also a logistics partner in supplying raw materials.

Note when transporting hazardous chemicals (HCL): HCL must not be transported in plastic-lined containers but in specialized tanks designed for HCL. Proper labeling and secure placement in vehicles are required to prevent shifting, leakage, or spillage. Containers must be sealed and labeled as dangerous goods. Drivers must be equipped with protective clothing and safety goggles.

DRIED CASSAVA

From Vietnam and Laos to Korea/Japan/China/USA/Taiwan, GML has many years of experience transporting this commodity. Every month, around 30 containers of charcoal are exported from Vietnam by GML.

Note: Charcoal must be carefully handled to avoid dust during transportation. It absorbs moisture equal to 18–20% of its weight. It is classified as dangerous goods, so all four sides of the container must be labeled accordingly.

WOOD FLOORING

From Laos transiting Vietnam to Japan. Exporting to Japan is always a major challenge for developing countries. However, GML helps you achieve success with professional and high-quality export services.

Note: Wood flooring must be packed and transported with appropriate moisture levels. Customs procedures must be handled professionally across all three countries to ensure timely delivery.

AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTS

Notes:

• Ensure refrigerated containers maintain proper temperature and ventilation throughout transport.

• Cargo loading must follow specific requirements to allow airflow and prevent crushing (especially for dragon fruit, bananas).

• Containers must be inspected before loading: no holes, dry flooring, etc.

• GML always verifies plantation codes and packaging codes (Vietnam & China) before export to avoid clearance issues.

• Exports to China must meet phytosanitary standards and COVID-19 disinfection requirements.

HERBAL MATERIALS

From Thailand/Laos transiting Vietnam to China

Besides agricultural products, herbs such as cardamom, goji berries, and smilax are also exported from Vietnam to China.

Demand for herbal materials is continuously increasing.

TOBACCO MATERIALS

From China transiting Vietnam to Laos

Laos is a landlocked country, so goods imported from China must transit through Vietnam via China–Vietnam and Vietnam–Laos borders.

GML has extensive experience transporting tobacco materials from China to Laos and finished cigarettes from Lao factories to third countries via Vietnam.

Note: Tobacco products must be transported in clean, dry, enclosed vehicles. Typically shipped in 40ft or 45ft containers. Containers must be odor-free and kept away from heat sources.

PLASTIC RESIN

From Laos transiting Vietnam to China

In recent years, demand for plastic resin has increased significantly, especially in industrial countries like China. GML has handled many shipments of plastic resin from Laos transiting Vietnam to China, becoming a long-term strategic logistics partner thanks to our fleet, expertise, and strong relationships with authorities.

Note: When transporting plastic resin, care must be taken during loading/unloading to avoid tearing packaging. Containers must be kept away from heat sources.

Iron ore is transported by road from Laos to Vung Ang Port using specialized trucks. During transit, customs procedures are handled at both entry and exit points in Vietnam. Then, cargo is arranged for loading onto vessels bound for China.
